COVID-19: UAC UPDATES

Our latest response to the Coronavirus

HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

SELF-SCREENING REQUIRED:

We are asking every individual to self-screen before entering the premises. The screening questionnaire is posted at every door. Please stay home if you have any of the following:

  •  Flu like symptoms (i.e. cough, fever, runny nose)
  •  Have travelled outside the country in the last 10 days (Federal quarantine exemptions apply)
  •  Have had close contact with anyone with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19 in the last 10 days

WASH YOUR HANDS:

Wash your hands regularly. Especially after coughing, sneezing, blowing nose, using the bathroom, and touching potentially contaminated surfaces. Alcohol based hand sanitizer is being made available as a substitute where soap and water are not readily available.

FACE COVERINGS & SOCIAL DISTANCING RECOMMENDED:

Wearing a mask and social distancing is no longer mandatory, however we ask everyone to be mindful of one another's comfort zones and maintain distance/wear masks out of respect for the other. Several pews are still roped off for distancing to maintain a level of comfort for people. However, if we see the need for more seating as more and more people return in person, you will see those ropes removed.

Facility Protocols:

SANITATION:

All high-touch surfaces (e.g. light switches, door handles, counters, etc) are regularly sanitized. Full cleaning & sanitation takes place throughout the week.

AIR QUALITY:

The air quality in the Auditorium is normally monitored by CO2 sensors which control how much fresh outside air is brought in. In 2020, the system was modified to bring in the maximum amount of fresh outside air into the Auditorium at all times. In addition, the fans in the air handler units for the heating and air conditioning systems are turned on to promote better air circulation.

WHAT ABOUT EVENTS?

As we continue to monitor the current situation, events will either be in-person or online. Please check for the details and status of each event.

MASTER'S PANTRY

Due to the pandemic, we have modified our processes to keep our community and volunteers safe. Our food bank remains open, and functions as a "drive-thru". Anyone looking to receive food, will drive up to the doors and pop open their trunk. One of our volunteers will then load a box of food in your trunk for you. How can I qualify to receive food?

Please note: Our free store (i.e. clothing, small misc. household items) is NOT open during this time. As a result, we are not accepting any more donations for our free store.

LIFE GROUPS

Every life group has their own preferences and will either choose to practice social distancing or gather online, according to the current health & safety restrictions. Your life group leaders should be in contact with you about the details. I would like to join a Life Group.
