"Family On Mission - Psalm 128" by Samuel Mills

Psalm 128 - Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labour; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord.May the Lord bless you from Zion; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. May you live to see your children’s children—peace be on Israel.

In Scripture, the word blessings is the favor of God to you and through you.

Genesis 12:2-3 – I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

Whatever you want God to do to you, tell him how it can flow through you.

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord

The fear of God is a combination of two concepts in the Old Testament

  1. is to dread and tremble
  2. is to hold in high esteem

To fear God means to live in his presence and to take him seriously.

God should be your starting point and not your ending point.

3 Blessings of God

  1. Fortune
  2. Feelings
  3. Future
