"The Kingdom and the Cross" by Curtis Peters

Isaiah 53

Acts 8:32 / Isaiah 53:7 – “He was led like a sheep to the slaughter.”

Isaiah 53:1 – Lord, who has believed our message? To whom has your arm been revealed?

Acts 10:14-15 - How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written ___________________________________

Isaiah 52:7 - How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns.’

Isaiah 52:8 – [They] lift up their voices; together they shout for joy.

Isaiah 52:10 - The Lord has laid bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.

Isaiah 54:1 - Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy … because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,’ says the Lord.

Isaiah 54:17 - “no weapon forged against you will prevail.”

Isaiah 55:1-2 – Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! … Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.

Isaiah 55:5 - Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations that do not know you will hasten to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.

Isaiah 55:12 - You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Isaiah 53:1 – Lord, who has believed our message? To whom has your arm been revealed?

Isaiah 52:13-15 – See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted. Just as there were many who were appalled at him – his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness – so will he sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.
