Due to the pandemic, we have modified our processes to keep our community and volunteers safe. Our food bank remains open, and functions as a "drive-thru". Anyone looking to receive food, will drive up to the doors and pop open their trunk. One of our volunteers will then load a box of food in your trunk for you.
Please note: Our free store (i.e. clothing, small misc. household items) is NOT open during this time. As a result, we are not accepting any more donations for our free store.
Providing food, clothing & small household items
Our Master's Pantry has been serving the York Region community for over 20 years by providing families with the food, clothing & small miscellaneous items that they may need for the month. Many people who come to the Master’s Pantry, come on the recommendation of a York Region government agency.
How does it work?
We regularly host 2 separate pantries per month in order to meet each family's need once per month. Upon their first visit, they are asked to bring a copy of their ID, proof of their income, and proof of rent.
We serve them a breakfast, provide them with their food to take home and allow them to peruse our free store which contains donated clothing and small household items.
When are the pantries?
Usually they are on Saturday from 9 am - 11 am. See the following for specific pantry dates:
What about Christmas?
In November, Master’s Pantry begins its Christmas “Hampers of Hope” campaign which concludes mid-December. Approximately 200 hampers containing everything for a wonderful Christmas dinner and gifts for each member of the family, are delivered. Click here to learn more about Hampers of Hope.
