"A Jesus Vision" // Pastor Daniel Mills
What if your life could be a part of something far greater than you ever imagined? In A Jesus Vision, we’ll explore how following Jesus is not just a belief system, but a transformative way of life that touches the world, one person at a time. Imagine the impact when we fully embrace the call to be disciples, grow as disciples, and make disciples who reflect the love and grace of Jesus. This vision invites you to step into a journey where every moment, every relationship, and every decision is an opportunity to reveal Jesus to those around you. Following Jesus is not about perfection but about progress—moving closer to Him, becoming more like Him, and sharing His message with a world in need. As we align our lives with Jesus, we find purpose, direction, and the power to influence others. Our vision at Unionville Alliance Church is to touch our world through Jesus, one life at a time, and that journey begins with you. Join us to discover how a Jesus-centred vision can transform your life and the lives of those around you, as we walk together in His footsteps.
Jesus steps into the ordinary situations of our lives
Luke 5:2-3 - He noticed two empty boats at the water’s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon, its owner, to push it out into the water. So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there.
Jesus is asking us to go deeper
Luke 5:4 - When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”
Come to Jesus as you are
Luke 5:8-9 - When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m such a sinful man.” For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him.
Following Jesus will cost you everything
Luke 5:10-11 - Jesus replied to Simon, “Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.
