The Way of Healing // Pastor Daniel Mills
Jesus came not only to bring salvation but to bring healing—spiritually, emotionally, physically, and mentally. In His ministry, Jesus demonstrated the healing power of God's kingdom, a power that began to break into the world the moment He was born. This message will explore the holistic healing that Jesus offers, inviting us to come to Him with all our brokenness. Just as He healed the sick and restored the broken-hearted during His time on earth, He continues to bring healing into our lives today. Ultimately, the complete healing we long for will be realized at His second advent, but even now, we can experience His touch in our lives. As we end this Christmas season and prepare for 2025, come ready to receive the healing power of Jesus, who was born to make us whole.
Sometimes we misunderstand God’s purposes
Isaiah 53:4 – Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins!
Jesus paid the price for our holistic healing
Isaiah 53:5-6 – But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
Jesus had faith in His Father’s plans
Isaiah 53:7 – He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.
Sometimes our prayers are not answered the way we would like
Isaiah 53:10 – But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands.
He ultimately wants our good
Isaiah 53:11 – When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins.
