Youth, are you looking for some ice time? Look no further! We are excited to invite you to our Youth Skating Event on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Markham Civic Center. This event promises to be a great way to enjoy quality time with your fellow youth while gliding across the ice and enjoying some gourmet hot chocolate.

• Time: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
• Location: Markham Civic Centre 101 Town Centre Blvd, Markham, ON L3R 9W3
• Admission: Free

While we recommend you bring your own skates, the Markham Civic Center also provides skate (and other skating paraphernalia) rentals:

• Children 12 and under: $10.00
• Adults: $15.00
• Helmets: $5.00
• Hats and Mitts: $10.00

Prices are based on a 2 hour rental. The Civic Center also provides skate sharpening services for $10.

Note for rentals: Renting requires a DEPOSIT in the form of a valid drivers license, passport, Health Card or any government issued ID with a picture. STUDENT ID WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!!

Dress Warm

We have no idea how cold it might be Friday evening. Dress in layers and don't forget your gloves and hat to stay warm while you skate!

Bring a Helmet

For those less familiar with skating, we recommend wearing helmets for added safety. If you have them at home, bring them along! Otherwise, see the rental information above.

Sharpen Your Skates in Advance

While sharpening services are at the MCC, sharpening your own skates ahead of time can help you maximize your time on the ice so you can dodge any potential lineups.
